Educational Leadership (K-12)—研究生 Certificate, MA, EdS, EdD, PhD

The MA in educational leadership is designed for teachers and aspiring educational leaders who desire to obtain a degree in educational administration.

The EdS in educational leadership prepares candidates to serve as principals, supervisors or superintendents in elementary and/or secondary systems.

The EdD and PhD in educational leadership prepare leaders for service in many types of educational agencies and organizations. The PhD is more research oriented and requires more courses in advanced research methodologies. Both doctorates require the successful completion of a dissertation.

The 研究生 Certificate provides specialized knowledge in the field without completing the full master’s degree.

研究生 Certificate: This 18-credit program can typically be completed by students in three years.
MA: This 34-credit program can typically be completed by students in three years.
EdS: This 64-credit program can typically be completed by students in four years.
EdD and PhD: These 90-credit programs can typically be completed by students in five years. 学生 with an Educational Leadership MA from Andrews University take only 60 credits for the EdD and PhD programs.

Applications are accepted on a rolling admissions basis (fall, summer and spring semesters).

入学 REQUIREMENTS

The 研究生 Certificate and the MA requires a bachelors degree (or non-U.S. equivalent) from an accredited 机构 and minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.60 (applicants with lower GPA may be admitted upon consideration of the composite profile).
The doctoral programs require a master’s degree (or non-U.S. equivalent) from an accredited 机构 and minimum graduate GPA of 3.30 (applicants with lower GPA may be admitted upon consideration of the composite profile).
Two recommendations for both the 研究生 Certificate and the MA. Three recomendations for the EdS, EdD and PhD. Recommenders may be advisors, major professors or employers.
Resume describing employment, research or special projects.
Statement of Purpose reflecting your philosophical perspective, 个人, professional and academic goals, and reasons for seeking the graduate program.
托福考试, IELTS or PTE (academic): 学生 whose language of education is not English must submit English proficiency test scores.
